Stearamide CAS:124-26-5

Name:Stearamide CAS:124-26-5 Feature: Stearamide is miscible with paraffin, soluble in organic solvents, and insoluble in water. The stearic acid reacts with ammonia to generate ammonium salt, which is then dehydrated to obtain stearic amide. Stearamide has no hygroscopicity, good slipperiness, can improve the dispersing effect of pigments and dyes, and has lubricity and mold release. It is used as surfactant, fiber oil agent, mold release agent, lubricant of polyvinyl chloride and urea-formaldehyde resin, compounding agent of pigment ink and colored crayon. Stearamide acid has the following applications/functions: 1. Stearamide is used as a lubricant and mold release agent for the processing of plastics such as polyvinyl chloride, polyphenylene, and urea-formaldehyde resin. It has excellent external lubrication and mold release properties. It also has good transparency and electrical insulation. The general dosage of Stearamide for rigid transparent extrusion molding is 0.3-0.8 parts. But Stearamide is not as lubricious as stearic acid. It has a short lasting effect, poor thermal stability, and initial coloration. Combining Stearamide with a small amount of higher alcohol can overcome the above shortcomings. If the amount of resin is too large, it is easy to precipitate on the surface of the product, which will affect the printability and transparency. Stearamide can also be used as a slip agent for polyolefins and a film anti-blocking agent. It can also be used as an internal mold release agent and lubricant for natural rubber and synthetic rubber, improving the processability of rubber. It can improve the dispersing effect of other additives such as pigments, and endow the products with good gloss. Stearamide is used as oil-based drilling fluid emulsifier and lubricant for metal wire drawing. 2. Commercially available Stearamide usually contains palmitamide, which has no hygroscopicity and good slipperiness. It can stabilize wax and other emulsions. Stearamide can improve the dispersing effect of pigments and dyes, and has weeping slip and mold release properties. Therefore, Stearamide can be used as surfactant, fiber oil agent, mold release agent, lubricant for vinyl chloride and urea-formaldehyde resin, rubber compounding agent, pigment ink and color crayon compounding agent, etc. Composition:  Appearance: White powder Packing: 25kg/drum or as discussed Shelf Life: 2 years Storage: Store in cool and dry area Certification:ISO GMP KOSHER HALAL
