Benomyl is a highly effective broad-spectrum endosorbable benzimidazole fungicide.

Benomyl  is an endosorbent fungicide. It is metabolized into Carbendazim and another volatile butyl isocyanate in plants. It is its main fungicide. The pure product is white crystal with slight odor. Insoluble in water, soluble in organic solvents, stable in dry state, will decompose and reduce efficiency in case of moisture. It is low toxic to humans and animals and safe to crops. Fungicide benomyl is a kind of benzimidazole fungicide with high efficiency and broad spectrum. Low toxicity to warm blooded animals. It is slightly irritating to the skin, but does not cause dermatitis. Efficient, broad-spectrum, with the role of protection, treatment and eradication. It can be applied by spraying, seed dressing and soil treatment. It also has a certain control effect on mite eggs. It is used for spray and soaking before harvest and after harvest to prevent rot of fruits and vegetables. When diluted to 2000 ~ 3000 times, benomyl  50% preparation can control powdery mildew, pear scab, peach gray star disease, grape brown spot, apple scab, wheat scab, rape sclerotinia, rice blast and cotton bacterial wilt. Benomyl is mainly used for the prevention and control of vegetable, fruit tree and various economic crop diseases, as well as wheat red virus and Soybean Sclerotinia. With the concentration of 167~250 mg / L, spraying before the onset or early onset of the disease can effectively control cucurbit Botrytis and anthrax, eggplant gray mold, tomato leaf mold, Allium gray rot disease, celery gray spot disease, citrus scab and gray mold, apple scab and black spot disease, pear scab, grape brown spot and powdery mildew, and peanut brown spot. Spraying with 333 ~ 500 mg / L can control wheat scab and Soybean Sclerotinia. Seed dressing with 1 ~ 2 grams of effective components per kilogram of seeds can prevent and control wheat head smut. Soil treatment also has a certain effect on the control of Cotton Verticillium Wilt and Fusarium wilt.  In addition, the spraying or dipping method can also be used for the preservation of fruits and vegetables. The long-term continuous application of the agent can make the pathogen resistant to carbendazim and interact with carbendazim. Alternating or mixing with other drugs can delay the formation of drug resistance. However, it can not be mixed with alkaline pesticides such as Bordeaux liquid and stone sulfur mixture. The processing dosage form is mainly 50% wettable powder.

Benomyl can be used to control many diseases of crops such as vegetables, fruit trees, rice and wheat. It is often used for seed dressing, spraying and soil treatment. Besides its protection and function, it also has acaricidal effect. Control of cucumber powdery mildew, cucumber and sweet (hot) Pepper Anthracnose, tomato gray mold, leaf mold, cucumber sclerotium disease, with 1500-2000 times liquid spray, initial onset 7-10 days every 1 days, spray 3 times.
