Mesotrione, also known as Mistone, Mesotrione, Mesotrione is an effective inhibitor of HPPD (4-hydroxyphenylpyruvate dioxidase). Mesotrione will cause yellowing symptoms in plant meristems 3-5 days later, causing dry spots, and then the whole plant death. It is suitable for the removal of weeds in corn fields. This product is characterized by no impact on the environment, rainfall does not affect its efficacy, and no adverse effects on corn.
Drug characteristics:
Environmentally friendly
This product can be rapidly and extensively degraded, and the final metabolite is carbon dioxide. The average half-life in the soil is 9 days. It has the characteristics of rapid degradation in the soil and low dosage.
Temperature has a great influence on the herbicidal activity of mesotrione (Grass barnyardgrass)
At 0℃, 150g/hm mesotrione is basically ineffective on barnyardgrass; at 25℃, the control effect on barnyardgrass is 40%, showing that the leaves are albino, but continue to grow; at 35℃, it can prevent barnyardgrass. Grass has a good control effect, barnyard leaves albino, wilting, and gradual necrosis.
Rain has little effect
Rainfall was simulated at different times after application, and it was found that rainfall within 0.5h after treatment had a significant impact on the herbicidal effect of mesotrione. Rainfall 1h after application had no effect on the herbicidal effect of mesotrione. . It shows that mesotrione is more resistant to rain erosion or weeds can absorb mesotrione faster.
Safety to corn
The number of choices of mesotrione soil treatment or stem and leaf treatment for corn is greater than 4 (from the results of biological activity and safety experiments, it can be known that mesotrione has ED10≥600 or 800g/h for each corn variety, and ED90 for weeds. 100~150g/hm), indicating that it is safe for corn. Treated with high doses, the phytotoxicity symptoms of corn are manifested as leaf albinism. Due to the different sensitivity of different types of corn, the degree of leaf albino is also different. Sweet corn and popcorn are more sensitive.
Mesotrione is safe to corn at normal dosages. Foreign research results show that the resistance of corn to mesotrione is due to the slow absorption rate of the drug by corn; the sensitivity of HPPD enzymes in monocots such as wheat to mesotrione is hundreds of less than that of broad-leaved weeds. Times; Corn can quickly degrade mesotrione into inactive compounds, especially by 4-hydroxylation catalyzed by P450.
Instructions:
(1) Mesotrione soil treatment
At 150g/hm, the control effect of most broad-leaved weeds tested was 90%, and the control effect of gramineous weeds was over 80%. The biological activity of mesotrione is about twice that of the similar agent.
(2) Mesotrione stem and leaf treatment
At 100g/hm, the control effect of broadleaf weeds can reach 90%, and the control effect of grass weeds can reach 70%. The biological activity of mesotrione treatment of stems and leaves is about 3 times that of the similar medicine sulcotrione.
(3 Mesotrione mixed with atrazine
To make up for the efficacy of synergistic mesotrione on grass weeds, adding atrazine can significantly improve the control effect on grass weeds and reduce the amount of mesotrione.
