Metribuzin is a selective herbicide. The effective components are absorbed by miscellaneous grass roots and conducted upward with transpiration direction. It can also be absorbed by leaves for limited conduction in vivo. The herbicidal activity is mainly exerted by inhibiting the photosynthesis of sensitive plants. After application, the germination and emergence of various sensitive weeds are not affected, the leaves fade green after emergence, and finally die due to nutrient depletion. The symptom is that the leaf edge turns yellow or burning, the whole leaf can turn yellow, but the leaf veins often remain light green (loss of green at intervals). Under the conditions of excessive dosage or poor drainage in low-lying land, accumulated water in the field, high humidity and low temperature, and poor growth and development of soybean caused by plant diseases and insect pests, soybean drug damage can be caused. In light cases, the leaves are dark green and shrink, in severe cases, the leaves lose green, turn yellow, turn brown and necrosis, the lower leaves are affected first, and the upper leaves are generally not affected. Metribuzin can be used as pre bud or post bud treatment. The organic matter and structure of the soil have an impact on the herbicidal effect of metribuzin and the absorption of pesticides by crops. If the soil contains a large amount of clay soil and humus, the amount of pesticide should be increased as appropriate, and vice versa. Temperature also has a certain impact on the herbicidal effect of metribuzin and the safety of crops. The higher temperature is lower than the lower temperature area. The persistence of metribuzin in the soil varies depending on climatic conditions and soil types. Under normal conditions, the half-life is about 28 days, and it will not cause phytotoxicity to subsequent crops. Metribuzin is a selective herbicide, which can be absorbed mainly by roots, stems and leaves. It has good control effect on 1-year-old broad-leaved weeds and some gramineous weeds, but not on perennial weeds. The efficacy is greatly affected by soil type, organic matter content, humidity and temperature, strict service conditions, improper use, or ineffective, or drug damage.
Metribuzin is applicable to soybean, potato, tomato, alfalfa, asparagus, sugarcane and other crop fields to control 1-year-old broad-leaved grass and some 1-year-old gramineous weeds such as Polygonum, amaranth, Chenopodium, mustard, endive, Zoysia, buckwheat vine, Elsholtzia, Artemisia annua, Bidens, Dogtail grass, Commelina, Xanthium sibiricum, Solanum nigrum, maltang and wild oats.
After sowing and before emergence of spring soybean in soybean field, 53-76 g of 70% wettable powder shall be used per mu, and about 30 kg of water shall be sprayed on the soil surface evenly. After summer soybean sowing and before emergence, 33-57 g of 70% wettable powder per mu was used to treat the same spring soybean.
The potato field is used after sowing and before emergence. 66-76 g of 70% wettable powder is used per mu. The soil surface is sprayed evenly with 30 kg of water. It is used after emergence. Generally, when the potato plant height is more than 10 cm, the drug resistance decreases and it is easy to produce drug damage.
