Quinocetone is a national-level new drug formally approved by the Ministry of Agriculture in August 2003, and is the first class of new veterinary drugs in my country. The medicine has four major features: bacteriostasis, safe use, rapid metabolism, and obvious effect. It is suitable for pigs, poultry and aquatic products, as well as disease prevention and growth promotion of young animals and young birds. Chickens and ducks are more sensitive to this product, and over-dose is easy to be poisoned.
The feed containing 75 mg/kg of quinocetone was fed into the pond for 60 days in Jian carp and catfish catfish, and the residues of quinocetone and its metabolite deoxyquinenone in these two fish species were studied under feeding conditions. The results showed that quinocetone and deoxyquinocetone were not detected in the muscle samples of Jian carp and catfish catfish collected from 1 to 15 days after the feeding. Since the concentration of quinocetone and its metabolites in fish muscles was lower than the calculated safe concentration 1 day after drug withdrawal, quinocetone was safe to use in aquaculture.
In the study of quinocetone residues in pig tissues, a high-performance liquid chromatography detection method for quantitative determination of quinocetone in pig liver, kidney, muscle, and fat edible tissues was established. Based on the results of the determination, the maximum residue limit was established and the drug withdrawal period . The results of the study showed that the concentration of quinocetone in all edible pig tissues was lower than the calculated safe tissue concentration 4 hours after drug withdrawal, so the drug has no rest period in pigs, that is, the rest period is zero days.
Quinocetone is rarely absorbed in the body after oral administration and is metabolized relatively fast. Most of it is excreted in its original form from the digestive tract, and its bioavailability is low. Clinically, the quinocetone premix is mixed with feed and applied. The specific dosage is as follows: quinocetone mixed feed: pigs, poultry, piglets, chicks, aquatic animals add 50 ~ 75g per 1000kg of feed. Mixed feed with 5% quinocetone premix: pigs, poultry, piglets, chicks, aquatic animals add 1000g per 1000kg of feed. When mixing feed with quinocetone and its premix, it should be mixed in stages and gradually diluted. Be sure to stir and mix well. Disabled in layer hens. Quinocetone should be stored in a ventilated, cool and dry environment with a shelf life of 2 years.
