Yeast Beta-1, 3/1, 6 D Glucan–Enhance immunity and promote wound healing

Yeast and medicinal mushroom derived beta glucans are notable for their ability to modulate the immune system.

Beta glucans is widely found in various bacteria, fungi and plants, such as lentinus edodes, ganoderma lucidum, oat, yeast, etc. Different sources of beta glucans have great functional differences due to different structures. The main chain of yeast beta -glucan is composed of beta -1,3, and the side chain is connected by beta-1,6. It has been proved that yeast beta glucan with this structure can effectively regulate both non-specific immunity and specific immunity, and is the most active among all glucans. It has the functions of lowering blood lipids, lowering blood sugar, removing toxins, resisting radiation, repairing damaged cells and tissues, regulating immunity and improving disease resistance. Beta-glucan derived from vacuum extraction is widely used as an immune enhancer in healthy animal breeding due to its ability to enhance the body’s immunity.

Promote wound healing

Beta-1,3/1, 6-glucan can improve the regeneration ability of damaged skin and mucosal cells, and accelerate the regeneration rate of mucosa and cuticle, which is beneficial to wound recovery. Epidermal growth factor is the collagen necessary to promote wound healing, and beta-1,3/1, 6-glucan  induces epidermal growth factor production by activating macrophages within the immune system, which promotes wound healing.

Enhance the body’s immune ability

A good immune system is essential for the health of livestock and poultry. Beta-1, 3-glucan has been considered as an immune modulator for a long time, such as ganoderma lucidum, which is used to strengthen the body’s immune capacity in traditional Chinese medicine. Because yeast beta-1, 3-glucan has immune regulation effect, beta-1, 3-glucan is regarded as a broad-spectrum immune enhancer.

Anti – radiation and anti – tumor effect

Beta-1,3/1, 6-glucan is widely used as an adjuvant in the treatment of radiation, which can improve the radiation resistance of livestock and poultry.

Promotes the growth of beneficial bacteria in the gut

Beta-1,3/1, 6-glucan can specifically increase the number of beneficial bacteria through nutrient competition, acid production, oxygen consumption and other ways, and create favorable conditions for the reproduction and metabolism of intestinal probiotics, so that the digestive tract of livestock and poultry is in an “optimal balance” state, and then improve the performance and immune function of animals.
